‘Eine florentinische Tragödie’ in Munich

On November 27, Christopher Maltman joins the Munich Radio Orchestra for Alexander von Zemlinsky’s rarely-performed Eine florentinische Tragödie, a one-act opera based on Oscar Wilde’s unfinished play, ‘A Florentine Tragedy’.

Mr. Maltman rounds out a stellar trio of soloists which also include mezzo-soprano Rachael Wilson as Bianca and tenor Benjamin Bruns as Guido Bardi. The orchestra’s music director, Patrick Hahn, leads the Munich premiere of this gripping work.
