‘Parsifal’ at Grand Théâtre de Genève

On January 25, 27, 29, 31, February 2 and 5, Christopher Maltman will make his role and house debut as Amfortas in Richard Wagner’s Parsifal at Grand Théâtre de Genève.

In this co-production with Deutsche Oper am Rhein Düsseldorf Duisburg, Director Michael Thalheimer sees Parsifal as the “wound” of bidding farewell to the world. The superb cast will also include Daniel Johansson as Parsifal, Tareq Nazmi as Gurnemanz, Tanja Ariane Baumgartner as Kundry and Martin Gantner as Klingsor. Jonathan Nott conducts the Orchestre de la Suisse Romande.
