‘Falstaff’ at The Met

Next month, Christopher Maltman is set to reprise the role of Ford in Robert Carsen’s critically acclaimed production of Falstaff at The Metropolitan Opera. In recent seasons, his interpretation of Ford has brought him to Paris, Vienna, and Munich.

Joining Mr. Maltman onstage includes Michael Volle in his Met debut as Falstaff, Ailyn Pérez as Alice Ford, Jennifer Johnson Cano as Meg Page, Marie-Nicole Lemieux as Mistress Quickly, Hera Hyesang Park as Nannetta, and Bogdan Volkov as Fenton. Maestro Daniele Rustioni conducts this hilarious take on Shakespeare’s The Merry Wives of Windsor.

The performances are scheduled for March 12, 16, 19, 23, 29, and April 1, with the final show being live-streamed in HD to cinemas worldwide. The March 16, 23, and April 1 performances will also be broadcast live on Metropolitan Opera Radio on SiriusXM Channel 355.
